Strange Days

Hello everyone...

Things are all a bit strange at the moment aren't they. I'm working from home as I usually do but it is a bit different as my wife is at home too... Vicky works in a library but all the libraries are closed. I bet that is even stranger for you working at home or working in a very quiet school.

I am going to start adding things to this page so that we can keep in touch a bit more. I will also suggest some things that you might like to do while you are working at home or at school.

First of all - let me know what book you are reading...
I'm reading a book called The Hydrogen Sonata by a brilliant author called Iain M Banks. It's a very big book that is set in the future... I like it because it is an exciting story that is full of aliens and spaceships. There is also a lot of mystery in the story and quite a few funny things too. I love this writer's books and will be reading more.

Do you like the book you are reading?

What do you like about it?

Would you like to read some more books by the same author?

I can't wait to hear from you.

Next week I will add some word searches to this page - and lots of other fun things that you can do.

Have fun reading...

Bye for now

  1. Hi Damian,
    Thanks for your blog post!
Your book sounds interesting but it's maybe not one that I would usually choose!
I'm reading one called Brightstorm by Vashti Hardy at the moment. It reminds me quite a lot of Cogheart by Peter Bunzl which I absolutely loved... I've only just started Brightstorm and am quite enjoying it so far.
I have a whole stack of books to read at the moment and it's lovely to have a bit of spare time to do some more reading!
I hope you and your family are safe and well,

  2. Brightstorm looks really interetsing - definitely the kind of book I would pick up. I read lots of children's books (of all ages) so it makes a nice change for me to read a book written for adults.

I will be adding some more things to the blof page tomorrow...
All safe and well here thank you and hope you are too.

  3. Hi!
I have just finished reading The Beast of Buckingham palace a David Walliams book about life in 2120 where climate change and pollution has sent the world into eternal darkness and the royals have taken control dissolving the police, the army and the parliament.
I did enjoy the book a lot and like David Walliams books.
